Each year Holly Rise holds an Annual General Meeting in line with its Constitution, M.M.A., and the rules governing a Friendly Society.
The AGM is usually held on the evening of the 3rd Thursday in July and starts at 19.30 hrs. The venue may differ year on year. All tenants are invited to attend with due notification given at least 21 days in advance.
The Annual General Meeting was held on Thursday, 18th July 2024 at 7:30pm at The Billesley, Brook Lane, Billesley, B13 0AB.
David Wray, Chair, opened the meeting at 7.35pm. Attendees were welcomed. They included representative from Birmingham City Council, members of the current committee and shareholder tenants from Claverdon and Southam Houses.
Three committee members were re-elected and two new committee were elected via a ballot of the tenants present.
The Chair's statement highlighted key changes that had taken place over the past year and some of the challenges the TMO could face going forward.
The accounts for the year ending 31st March 2024 were presented by the external auditors and, following explanations and clarification, were accepted by those present.
73% of attendees voted to donate the charity funds raised over the previous year to Acorns Children's Hospice.
All tenants were invited to consider joining the tenant committee in the future.
